My story
Why I Started Finance Literacy for Future
A personal journey from witnessing inequality to taking action.
Where It All Began
Growing up, I watched how financial knowledge — or the lack of it — shaped the trajectories of people around me. Some families thrived not because they earned more, but because they understood how money worked. Others, equally hardworking and talented, stayed stuck in cycles they didn't have the tools to break. That gap felt deeply unfair to me. And it felt fixable.
"Financial knowledge isn't a privilege. It's a right."
A Turning Point in Peru
Traveling and working in Peru changed everything. I saw firsthand how brilliant, motivated young people in Lima, Cusco, and rural communities were being held back — not by lack of ambition, but by lack of access to basic financial education. I sat with students who had never heard the word 'budget.' I met teenagers who had never been taught what a savings account was. And I knew I had to do something about it.
What I Believe
Equity over charity
I don't want to give people fish. I want to teach them how the entire economy works — so they can build their own boats.
Education as liberation
Financial literacy is one of the most powerful tools for breaking cycles of poverty. Knowledge compounds just like interest does.
Community-first
Real change doesn't come from the outside in. It comes from empowering communities to lead their own transformation.
This Is Just the Beginning
Finance Literacy for Future is a living mission — growing with every workshop, every partnership, and every young person who learns that their financial future is in their own hands. I'd love for you to be part of it.
